Since earning a master’s degree and graduate certificate in gerontology in 1990 and a Ph.D. in 1995 from Bowling Green State University, Barbara has developed as a social psychologist and gerontologist at The University of Toledo. She is currently dean of University College and the administrative director of the Center for Successful Aging. She has been at the University since 1991. Barbara provides service to the community through a variety of organizations — she is currently on the boards of — Sunset Retirement Communities, Great Lakes Collaborative for Autism, and the Catharine S. Eberly Center.
